I have a few good FIFA-14 points to share with you in this review. One important point about FIFA-14 is that the AI is a big step forward. It's much better than in previous years, and it's certainly worth adjusting your controller settings to take advantage of it. If you use manual passing instead of auto-passing, for example, the CPU will make more intelligent decisions and seem less like an unstoppable machine... This doesn't mean there isn't anything bad to say about the game; I find players don't seem to move as fluidly as they did before. There are also occasions when animation glitches happen or one of my shots seems very difficult for no reason at all. The game's physics engine can also be problematic, but that's pretty much an issue every year. I also drive the ball too low at times when using manual shooting. Apart from these things, FIFA-14 plays very well and is worth picking up if you already own FIFA-13 or earlier. If not, there's no reason for you to get this version over the upcoming FIFA 15 which will be available later this fall. However, I've found setting all of the anti-aliasing options to their "legacy" settings to work well in most situations, although the game does run better without any anti-aliasing. I was able to get the game running at 60 frames per second (fps) with every setting on high in most situations, with an overall average of about 45 fps in-game. I ran into some occasional stuttering when playing online, but this is to be expected when the game has to load new players and textures when they enter the pitch. I can't say I particularly like the physics engine in this version of FIFA, since it feels more like I'm kicking a soccer ball than anything else. Players don't slide or fall down properly when they're tackled, and there are no injuries. There is no way to call off an attempted tackle when the ball is in the air. Attacking players just randomly fall over after taking a shot on goal, and if you attempt to tackle them they'll just lie there. I also noticed that when I kicked the ball over the physics engine's boundaries (there are invisible "caps" around certain areas of the pitch), it didn't roll back like in previous versions of FIFA. It would just disappear completely. There is no kick-off animation anymore, which means things like free kicks and penalties look odd when played online with human opponents. cfa1e77820
